Many businesses small and large use Google Adwords as their main online advertising resource. For many of them, it's been a reasonably priced source of leads, even after the notorious Google Slap which sent prices skyrocketing for direct affiliate links and badly designed landing pages.
There have been a few pretty much unsubstantiated rumours of the imminent death of Google Adwords, but no real sign that this might be occurring. Google's credibility is so high, it's hard to believe that it's even likely.
But that was before Simon Leung stuck his head over the parapet. Simon is a former Senior Adwords Optimization Specialist at Google, who worked in the Adwords division for many years (including during the time of the infamous Google Slap). And the reason he left? Because he realised what was coming, and was unable to do anything about it while he was still working there.
Simon has written a report called (as anyone might have guessed) "The Death of Google Adwords."
Personally, I rarely use Adwords myself, but even so, since many of my clients do, I made the $2 investment (I mean, what's that? £1? Less than a cup of coffee in most places) and downloaded the report.
Up to now, Google AdWords has allowed you to drive targeted prospects to your website instantly and affordably. Recent decisions by Google have made this more difficult, but it's still possible - at the moment.
Unfortunately, more changes are on the horizon that are going to change everything. Simon Leung has his finger on what those changes are likely to be. If you use Google Adwords in your business, you owe it to yourself to get hold of a copy of his report.
