Targeted Traffic For Optimal Results

by Jeffrey Frasco

Targeted traffic to your website means simply that the ones who show up are interested in what you have to offer. If you go after the largest quantity of website traffic hoping that a few will be interested then you are wasting valuable time and resources.

Targeted traffic is easy to obtain and the search engines will recognize your website quicker and give you higher rankings for it. Websites or online businesses that use a wide range of keywords when optimizing their site are generally tossed out of the search engines results. Search engines are designed for users to insert a keyword or keyword phrase and be rewarded with the best, most reliable, closely matched sites on the internet. If a person inputs the keyword car insurance and they are brought to a website that offers life insurance and nothing else they will be irritated and may not use that particular search engine again.

Search engines have to rely on you for targeted traffic for your site, they scan the contents of your site when the keywords are entered and if you have optimized to that keyword you will come up whether you site covers that optic or not. The search engines do check for accuracy and when you are found to be fraudulent you will be removed. By using targeted traffic methods you increase the chances that the website visitors will return and also those they will refer you to others. By leaving backlinks on blog, forum, or review sites they are increasing your page rank with the search engines and increasing your targeted traffic.

Be safe and not sorry when optimizing for keywords. Do not use keywords that have nothing to do with your website just because you think they are more popular searches. In other words, do not use keywords cell phone accessories for a site that sells women's lingerie.
